Project citizen science campaign, Outside the Box

Dear beekeeper,

We are the members of the Galway Honey Bee Research Centre. One of our current projects aims at improving our scientific understanding of wild honey bee colonies here in Ireland.

We are launching a citizen science campaign aimed at the long-term monitoring of wild honey bee nests, and we would like to invite you to become part of it.

Next week, on Thursday 23rd February at 19:00, we will be hosting an online Zoom event dedicated to the recruitment of wild honey bee custodians.

During this event, we will present what we uncovered in our past investigations on Irish wild colonies and provide you with an overview of our current project “Outside the Box”.

If you are interested in participating and would like to promote the research and protection of free-living colonies in Ireland, please register via this link. The detailed program and the instructions on how to join will be available soon.

We very much look forward to your participation!

Kindest regards,The GHBRC team,

Arrigo, Grace, Keith, Alexandra, Stephen and Ethan________________________________
