“As World Bee Day approaches what better time to be thinking of declaring support for the Native Irish Honey Bee, Apis mellifera mellifera ‘’
Here at The Native Irish Honey Bee Society you may have noticed that we are very keen to conserve, support and improve our unique bee. Around the island of Ireland Beekeeping Associations, Social & Commercial enterprises and interested beekeepers are increasingly seeing the merit of declaring Conservation Areas to protect the wellbeing of Amm. Why not join in and declare for the Native Irish Honey Bee on World Bee Day. It’s a simple enough process and we would be pleased to advise you of the best way to go about it. Get in touch with our Conservation Area Officer, John Greenaway, at nihbs.conservation@gmail.com, or telephone John on 00353838516062. He’d be happy to help!! While you’re at it take a look at the nihbs.org website for more background on our work of conservation”
