New Irish Bumblebee Identification Guide available

Dear all,

Just a few updates from the Irish Pollinator Initiative:

  1. On 17th February we had a symposium to introduce the draft All-Ireland Pollinator Plan. Pdfs of these talks are now available on the website http://pollinators.biodiversityireland.ie/events/

  1. See our events page for identification workshops in 2015. Please note this is being continually updated as details are finalised:  http://pollinators.biodiversityireland.ie/events/

  1. I have added a new beginners guide to bumblebees in Ireland to the website. You can view this pdf here: http://pollinators.biodiversityireland.ie/id-guides/

The Bumblebee Monitoring Scheme began this month. Don’t forget to do your first walk. For those of you considering joining the scheme, now is a good time to work out your route.

We look forward to receiving your records of bees in 2015.

All the best

Úna
