The Native Irish Honey Bee Society held another successful visit to John Summerville’s apiary in Tullamore on 23rd June
John Summerville, one of Ireland’s leading beekeepers
John is known for his quality honey and he has won some of the top Honey Show awards nationally and abroad. He was assisted on the day by the members of the Offaly beekeepers association.
Over sixty Beekeepers travelled to see how John has been such a successful beekeeper.
Colony assessment
Many new friends were made and a cup of tea and refreshments were organized by John’s wife Dympna.
A strong colony packed with bees
John has promised to organize a similar day on annual basis.
