Belfast queen rearing group meets again this Monday evening at 7.00pm at the Minnowburn apiary. There will be a demonstration of how to set up a queen right cell raiser colony and there will also be a demonstration of different techniques of grafting.
William Blakely and David Dumican from Dromore queen rearing group are going to pay a visit and this will allow an exchange of ideas.
William Blakely is an experienced grafter and he will be demonstrating his method using the ‘Chinese grafting tool.’ Jonathan Getty will demonstrate grafting using a 000 sable paintbrush. Different methods to get the same result.
