Naas queen rearing workshop reminder

The next NIHBS Queen Rearing Workshop is on Sunday August 16th. from 2pm to 5pm. will be held at Colm O’Neill’s apiary.

There is a  €5 registration  charge paid on the day which will be donated to  the NIHBS research fund.

It is planned to cover

Grafting,  Cloak board and Jenter kit. Apideas  Ben Harden Queen Rearing Method and Queen rearing for people looking to raise less than 10 queens. Colony records and assessments.

Directions:

From the M7 motorway

Take exit 10 from M7 – first exit – signposted Rathangan, Naas South, Newbridge

At top of exit ramp turn for Naas / Newbridge

after 100 m enter ‘Bundle Of Sticks’ roundabout

Take second exit – as if going back onto M7 – signposted for Cork, Limerick

proceed down this road 800 meters – drive past Naas Nissan, turn LEFT before you reach the M7 again.

This road is signposted for Rathasker Stud.

NIHBS Queen Rearing Workshop is at first house on the RIGHT – about 300 m from the turn

Please park on one side of the approach road – leave access for local traffic.

The apiary is on the outskirts of Naas on the Newbridge side, just off the slip road for the M7 going South.

    just wondering is this open day just for members or can non-members attend,just that i will be in the area that weekend but i am not not a member(Cork area).
