Northern Ireland has a fantastic and diverse range of honey products

I’ve been lucky enough to be able to visit many beekeepers over the years and been privileged to witness the spectacular activity of bees making honey. A bee will travel about 15 miles an hour to gather nectar and a hive will fly 50,000 miles to collect a single pound of honey. Along the way they pollinate other plants and pick up scents that will flavour the honey. You’ve got to admire their work ethic.
