The series of queen rearing workshops organised by NIHBS this summer has been a great success and feedback so far has been very positive.
Cumann Beachairí Chonamara in conjunction with the Native Irish Honey Bee Society (NIBHS) are holding a queen rearing workshop this Sunday the 7th of July. The workshop will take place at Mr. Seán Osborne’s apriary in Carrowknockmore, Killanin Co. Galway.
The workshop commences at 13.00. Mr. Gerard Coyne, Mr. John Summerville, Mr. Seán Osborne and Mr. David Geoeghan with Mr. Seán Finnerty from NIBHS are holding lectures/practicals which will include grafting/cloake board techniques. Equipment suppliers will also be attending. Look forward to seeing you there, just bring your beesuit.
