The Native Irish Honey Bee Society will host the first apiary demonstration of bee breeding in West Waterford on Sunday the 26th May at 2pm. The topics to be covered are selection, grafting, and the use of Apideas. It will be held at Pat Deasy’s home apiary at Rose Cottage, D’Loughtane, near Youghal. Directions N25 travelling in Cork direction exit before Youghal Bridge road number 2009 up hill through x road second house on left white gate picket fence.
We have just had one the most severe springs in memory and knowledge on restoring losses of our Native Honey Bee will be shared on the day.
